I am not a fan of a Senators arena in DOWNTOWN. Why bring traffic congestion to downtown where it is bad already. There is already an arena ... far away in Kanata where it should be.
Ottawa lacks a major tourist attraction worthy of a capital. Ottawa needs a major tourist attraction for locals and tourists to enjoy year round. Why not have an AQUARIUM like the Ripley Aquarium in Toronto, a theme park like Canada's Wonderland, West Edmonton Mall, a botanical garden or zoo, a big open market and "play" village concept like the Granville Island in Vancouver. More green.
